THREE motorists using their phones behind the wheel have been penalised in Totton this morning - including one who already had 27 points on their licence.
Police across Hampshire are clamping down on the behaviour as part new measures introduced by government.

The rules were enforced following a series of high-profile cases and research suggesting the practice is widespread.
From today, penalties and fines for offenders will be doubled to six points and £200 respectively.
New drivers face losing their licence the first time they are caught using a phone behind the wheel illegally.
Twenty-two people were killed and 99 seriously injured in accidents on Britain’s roads in 2015 where a motorist using a mobile was a contributory factor, latest figures show.
