HAMPSHIRE dog owners are being told to adopt a flick method with a stick to discard their pets’ waste.
The Forestry Commission have advised not to use plastic bags to clean up any mess as they are an eyesore.
The commission’s advice is to use a stick and flick technique, in order to put the mess in any undergrowth.
A poem released by the commission said: “If your dog should do a do, you don’t want it on your shoe. find a stick, pick a sport, flick into the bushes so it can rot.”
The national move has also been backed by MP Anne Main as a way to reduce the amount of plastic bags in the countryside.
