The NEW £1 coin is being rolled out across the UK’s high streets - but you probably won't see them in Southampton just yet.
Only 33 post office and bank branches across the UK will receive the 12-sided coin, which is replacing the current circular addition in an attempt to combat fraud.
The lucky cities expected to be receiving the new coin are London, Bath, Newcastle, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh with its circulation expected to be extended over the next few weeks.
