A HAMPSHIRE teenager posted a farewell message online before taking his own life, an inquest heard.
Jesse White from Hedge End was found hanging at his home, Winchester Coroner’s Court heard.
The court heard that the 19-year-old, of Wildern Lane, had a history of self-harm and suicide attempts.
Mr White’s friend Craig Parker told the inquest that he noticed a Facebook post by Mr White days before his death.
On the day of the incident Mr White had posted, “Bye everyone I am doing it now” on the social media site.
Mr White’s mother Bonny told the court that he had taken the death of his grandmother in 2015 badly, and that he had split from his first girlfriend a few months before his death on January 26.
“When I told him to go to the doctor he said no one could help him,” she said.
Central Hampshire coroner Grahame Short said Mr White probably suffered from depression although he had not been formally diagnosed and had refused to seek help.
“It is unclear to me at this particular time why he was feeling so low. It is clearly a tragedy for his mother and family to lose him in these circumstances.”
He recorded a conclusion of suicide.
