A NEW defibrillator has been fitted at a Southampton park after cash was raised for its installation.
Celebrating its fifth birthday, Netley Abbey Parkrun decided to raise funds to purchase the life-saving device.
Now it has been fitted at Victoria Country Park.
Parkrun UK pledged to have Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) available at all 5km Parkruns by the end of the year.
A fundraising day was organised at one of Netley’s parkruns, with treats being sold for a small donation.
