Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are search for following violence in the build-up to a Hampshire football match.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may know the man to come forward after a number of violent incidents in and around Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, before Portsmouth home match against Plymouth Argyle.
Violence was directed at opposition fans and police officers, with coins being thrown, causing damage to buildings, and people assaulted.
PC Charlotte Pocock said: “These incidents took place in busy public places and caused considerable concern and worry to innocent members of the public who happened to be in the area.
"I am appealing for anyone who recognises this man to get in touch. I would also appeal directly to him to come forward and make contact with us.”
Anyone with information is urged to call Hampshire Constabulary on 101 quoting 44170139426.
