A man has died after his car was struck by a falling tree.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place at 7.17am this morning.
Police were called to the A287 in Odiham, between Rye Common and Ewshot, after receiving reports of a tree falling on a car. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The A287 between Rye Common and Ewshot remains closed.
Inspector Simon Hills, said: “We are currently on scene on the A287 between Rye Common and Ewshot conducting our investigations in relation to this incident.
I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.”
