A police helicopter has been scanning Southampton Common in the search for a missing person.
Officers had attended the Common as part of the search, with a policeman at the scene confirming the person has been found safe.
It is unknown where the person was located.
The police search helicopter had also been called upon as part of the operation, and was above Southampton city centre until around 3pm.
An ambulance was also seen at the Common, which left shortly before 3.30pm.
One witness said: "Four police officers were in attendance, and two paramedics were helping a middle-aged lady wearing only shorts and a T-shirt, into an ambulance.
"The ambulance was parked near the pedestrian subway half way up The Avenue between The Cowherds and the Bassett Crossroads.
"The lady appeared to be the worse for wear from alcohol, having to be assisted to walk to the ambulance."
