A MAN has been charged after three armed robberies took place at bookmakers in Shirley and Winchester.
The robberies took place at two different Ladbrokes, at 27-31 and 122-124 Shirley High Street on June 19 and 21 respectively, and a Coral betting shop on Stoney Lane in Winchester on June 20.
Nigel Roe, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of robbery and three counts of possession of an offensive weapon, namely a broken bottle.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates today.
