A TEENAGER who won the hearts of TV audiences but failed to win over The Voice Kids judges has visited a Hampshire theatre school.
Fourteen-year-old, Ryan Granger, from Whiteley, visited You’re a Star Theatre School at Hamble Community School, which was founded by his former acting and dancing coaches Hayley Palmer and Rebecca Fern.
The singer performed the Plain White T’s hit single 'Hey There Delilah' on the The Voice Kids which aired on ITV earlier this month.
Judges, will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas), Pixie Lott, and Danny Jones (McFly), failed to turn their seat for the teen but lots of the shows fans took to the internet to express their admiration for the young wanna-be popstar.
Mcfly singer Danny Jones said: “You’re like a cake, with all the right ingredients but just need longer in the oven and a bit more work before you can come out and smash it.”
Since the show aired, Ryan has been trying to gain more experience to work on Danny’s feedback.
This Saturday, the teen took a workshop with the children of You’re a Star Theatre School, which runs every Saturday for children aged four to 12.
He said: “The Voice Kids was aired 6 months after filming so it was completely surreal to watch it back and an incredible experience.
It was such a pleasure to come to You’re a Star Theatre School and inspire other children who may want to pursue a career in the Arts.”
The theatre group founder, Hayley Palmer said: “We are really proud of him. We have worked with Ryan from such a young age, it was great to see him on The Voice.
“We invited him to the theatre group, so that he could inspire the children.”
