A WANTED man is on the run after jumping from a Southampton bridge to evade police.
A police helicopter circled over Southampton as officers look for the man on Saturday afternoon.
Officers searched the River Test after the man jumped from Redbridge Causeway shortly before 5pm in a bid to evade police.
Earlier in the day, a number of officers were at Redbridge railway station carrying out a search. Police have not yet revealed want he is wanted for.
A British Transport Police spokesman confirmed they were assisting Hampshire Constabulary with the investigation at Redbridge railway station.
