A MAN is fighting for his life after a serious assault outside a Southampton pub.
The 29-year-old man was rushed to Southampton General Hospital after the attack outside the Encore Pub in Commercial Road, near the Mayflower Theatre.
He sustained head and neck injuries in the attack, which took place between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, with police adding his condition is currently life-threatening.
A 27-year-old man also received minor injuries.
Police believe at least two people carried out the assault and are appealing for help.
