A CYCLIST has been seriously injured in a rush-hour crash involving a Ford Transit van.
The 34-year-old Fareham man was rushed to Southampton General Hospital after the collision at 8.20am in Peak Lane, Fareham, on Tuesday.
The driver of the blue Transit van, a 39-year-old man who is also from Fareham, was not injured.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information to help with their investigation.
PC Sarah McEwen, of the Havant Roads Policing Unit, said: “This happened during the morning rush hour so we know that there were a lot of vehicles around.
“Did you see either vehicle prior to the collision or did you see the collision? We’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen something but have not yet spoken to us, you could have information that could help our investigation.”
Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference '44170285672', or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
