POLICE have launched a search after a man was punched in the face while trying to calm down a customer arguing with shopworkers.
The 24-year-old, who was also in the store at 9.40pm on July 19, was trying to calm things down in the Tesco Express store in Cobden Avenue, Southampton.
Now, officers have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to as part of their investigation.
He has been described as white, of medium build, and about 5ft 8in tall with brown hair and facial stubble.
Anyone who recognises the man, or has any information about the assault is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference '44170278197', or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
