TWO people have been question by police after an attempted robbery near a Hampshire shopping centre left a man with a suspected broken ankle.
The 32-year-old victim was approached by a man and a woman as he was walking along Wells Place, near the entrance to the Wells Place car park at the bottom of the Swan Centre steps, in Eastleigh at around 12.30pm last Thursday.
The pair threatened the man and demanded his wallet before being kicked in leg, causing a suspected broken ankle and causing him to fall to the ground.
They then fled empty-handed.
Now a spokesman for Hampshire constabulary has confirmed two people, 32-year-old woman from Calmore and a 52-year-old man from Southampton, have been interviewed under caution in connection with this incident.
Police are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101, quoting reference '44170280290', or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
