THESE cases were recently heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court:

David Wayne Carter, 49, of Clarks Close, Ringwood. Pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, a licence and failing to stop. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Lewis Henri Barnett, 21, of Millbrook Road East, Southampton. Admitted breach of community order by failing to provide proof for not attending unpaid work. Community order made, put under curfew for three months from 8pm and 6am and ordered to pay £60 costs.

Sukhuinder Sehmbi, 37, of Kelvin Road, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. Fined £307 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Licence endorsed with six points.

Colin Donald Baxter, 42, of Belmont Road, Chandler’s Ford. Pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order by sending texts to a prohibited person. Community order made and fined £38. Ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £30 costs.

Daniel James Collins, 29, of Puffin Close, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order. Community order made and ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £15 costs.

Paul May, 50, of Kingsdown Way, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing a black Lexmoto motorbike. Also pleaded guilty to not obtaining an licence to drive the vehicle and no insurance. Community order made and disqualified from obtaining a licence for three months. Ordered to pay £1,000 compensation.

Steve Woodcock, 22, of Lloyd Avenue, Marchwood. Pleaded guilty to stealing a chainsaw and clothing from Hopkins Recycling Centre. Community order made. Ordered to pay £50 compensation and £300 costs.

Peter Langley, 54, of Maytree Road, Chandler’s Ford. Pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood after being suspected of driving. Community order made. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Geoffrey Burt, 37, of The Crescent, Marchwood. Pleaded guilty to damaging a microwave, dish drying rack and utensil pot belonging to Natalie Harrison with intent to destroy while on a suspended sentence. Committed to prison for five weeks. Ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

George Thomson, 20, of Lydgate Road, Thornhill. Pleaded guilty to three charges of assault, including a police constable. Community order made and ordered to pay £100 compensation.

Nicholas Clark, 42, of Southampton Road, Ringwood. Pleaded guilty to harassment by sending unwanted text messages and attending victim’s address. Restraining order made. Ordered to pay £75 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Asa Fernandez, 38, of Havendale, Hedge End. Pleaded guilty to intending to cause victim harassment. Community order and restraining order made. Fined £75 and ordered to pay £160 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Debra Carton, 44, of Wick Close, New Milton. Pleaded guilty to failing to carry out a breathalyser test by officers. Community order made and disqualified from driving for 20 months. Fined £75. Ordered to pay £150 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Shaun Mcguinness, 56, of Avenue Road, Lymington. Pleaded guilty to harassment of a woman and breaching community order. New community order and restraining order made. Ordered to pay £45 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Marinel Catalin Nita, 20, of Tilehurst, Bracknell. Pleaded guilty to stealing seven bottles of alcohol from Asda valued at £224.50, in Southampton. Discharged conditionally for two years. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 victim surcharge.

Leon Hine, 22, of Banning Street, Romsey. Pleaded guilty to assault and intent to cause harassment using abusive words or behaviour. Community order made. Ordered to pay £50 compensation and £45 costs.

Lewis Chalmers, 28, of Rowan Road, Havant. Pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis and assaulting a detention officer at Southampton Central Police Station. Committed to prison for five days and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.
