Busy bridge closes for emergency repairs
A BUSY Southampton bridge has been closed for emergency repairs.
Woodmill Bridge at Bitterne Park was shut from 8pm tonight - with City Council workers saying it was unknown when it would reopen.
A spokesperson for Southampton Travel said the bridge was closed in both directions for emergency carriageway repairs.
They said: "Unfortunately until the workforce examine the road they will not know the extent of the work needed but we will tweet again when it reopens."
