LITTLE clubbers were out in force at the latest edition of Big Fish Little Fish.

Sunday’s Heroes and Villains rave for young families had toddlers and their mums and dads bouncing around the dancefloor at Southampton’s Engine Rooms.

As previously reported organisers brought the mini rave to the city for the first time in April – but said it’s really only the hardcore disco dads, their partners and kids who are coming back time and again.

Manager Neil Briggs, who has run the event at Rob da Bank’s Camp Bestival, said: “Lots of people come – but not everyone likes it and that’s fine. We try to make sure everyone can enjoy it, that’s why we have balloons and face painting etc for the young ones. But then you get the people who do really like it coming back time and again.”

But with almost 300 packing out the Harbour Parade venue it’s clear there are plenty of young fans set to keep the dance floors of the future buzzing.

And Mr Briggs said drum and bass is definitely the genre of choice for the kids although he added that On A Ragga Tip by SL2 is a more surprising kids’ club dancefloor classic if you want to keep young ones on the floor.
