A 'SUSPICIOUS' man was seen approaching young girls in a Southampton park.
Police have launched an investigation following the incident, which happened in a wooded area near Freemantle Common.
Three 12-year-old girls said they were approached by a man they did not know between 4.10pm and 4.20pm on Thursday, September 28.
The man made a comment to the girls ask they walked past him but no contact was made, and police have not received any similar reports.
The girls said the man was white, aged in his late 40s to early 50s, of a large build with broad shoulders, had greyish hair, and was wearing a blue coat and jeans.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "Anyone who saw what happened or the man in the area should contact PCSO Graeme Archibald by calling 101 and quoting 44170376816, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
"In an emergency always dial 999."
