THIEVES smashed through the gates of a Southampton car dealership during a raid.

The raiders used a car to drive through the gates of the Nissan Garage in Redbridge.

They stole a Nissan Micra in the burglary.

Police say the back fence has been cut and the gates themselves smashed, as well as a window boarded up in the premises.

Officer added that it’s been reported to them that another car had been used to break out of the premises.

A statement said: “We are investigating a burglary incident which took place at Westway Garage on Redbridge Causeway.
