A TV star has launched a planning bid to get a new swimming pool installed at her Hampshire home.
Sarah Parish, known for her roles in Bafta-winning ITV drama Broadchurch and BBC comedy W1A, submitted the planning application to build the pool with her husband James Murray at their home in Ovington, near Alresford.
South Downs National Park will now decide on whether or not to approve the application for the pool, which would measure 12 metres by six metres. A decision is likely to be made next month,
Mrs Parish and Mr Murray are well known in Hampshire for their charity work with the Murray Parish Trust, which is raising money through a Daily Echo-backed campaign to get a children’s emergency and trauma department at Southampton Children’s Hospital.
