The Itchen Bridge
POLICE had to rush to the Itchen Bridge in the early hours after a man was spotted on the wrong side of the railings.
Officers were called regarding the concern for welfare of the man shortly after 5am.
Police say the man came to safety after they attended earlier this morning.
The bridge had to be shut while officers dealt with the incident, and was reopened at 5.30am.
