A MAN has been rescued after his leg became impaled on a metal fence.
The terrifying incident took place at West Hill Cemetery, Winchester, last night.
Firefighters from Winchester, Redbridge helped rescue the lone 22-year-old, who slipped as he attempted to climb over the fence.
The spike went four inches into the man's leg.
He was rescued by a hand held cutting device and taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance service.
The 22-year-old was said to be conscious throughout.
Emergency services did not say why the man was attempting to climb the fence.
