A HAMPSHIRE shopping centre kicked off its Christmas celebrations yesterday.
Dozens of people turned up to see Heart breakfast show presenter Zoe Hanson and shopping centre manager Tim Keeping turn on the centre’s festive lights.
Snow White also made an appearance and gave away a family ticket to the Mayflower Theatre pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.
A selection of classic Christmas carols were also sung by the Bitterne Park Primary School Choir and the Southampton Love Soul Choir.
Zoe also launched a competition to give one family the chance to win a holiday to Lapland worth £2,000 which families can enter by spending £10 or more in the centre.
Zoe said: "It's always the best to start Christmas in the Marlands.
"It's certainly a magical experience and to have Snow White here was simply amazing."
A spokesperson for the Marlands added: "The event had a fantastic turnout, it is a great way to start our Christmas festivities off."
