HAMPSHIRE’s biggest adventure park has announced two new attractions after a £30,000 investment.
Flip Out, in Chandler’s Ford, has unveiled a seven-metre drop slide and a spinning arm that knocks unsuspecting victims off their perch.
Daredevil customers will be offered the chance to tackle the new additions this winter.
For the slide, thrill-seekers will be able to hold onto a bar which is winched up to the side, allowing them to choose their own drop height, with a maximum of 23 feet.
The spinning arm, named Wipeout, allows seven people to perch on pedestals and avoid a rotating arm as it attempts to knock everyone from its path.
Ryan Wootton, manager, said: “Our two new attractions, offering customers a great blend of fun and nerve-jangling excitement, will be open in time for the busy Christmas period, making Flip Out a must-visit this December.”
The attraction celebrated its first anniversary in July, and welcomed more than 150,000 jumpers through the doors over the 12 month period.
Ryan added: “We will be setting them two challenges on our enormous 23 foot-high slide, namely, how high are you prepared to go up the slide and how long you hold your nerve at the very top before letting go of the bar and making the drop.”
“The challenge with Wipeout is to be quick and nimble so you’ll have to be speedy and accurate to successfully jump the first arm and duck under the second.”
Other activities at the adventure park include climbing walls, free-running zones and around 100 linked trampolines.
