The first Wessex Cancer Trust fashion show, Shopping and Champers, raised £4,000.

The event, which showcased a wide range of clothing on sale at the charity's stores and eBay shop, was held at The Dolphin Hotel in Southampton.

All 17 models had been affected by cancer, and some had been clients of the trust’s cancer support centres.

One of the models said: “I decided to model in this evening Fashion Show to help boost my confidence and help raise funds while showing my support to others who need the help from Wessex Cancer Trust.”

Alongside the fashion show, supporters were invited to browse around 17 stalls set up by local businesses.

Each guest took home a beauty bag full of Clinique and Body Shop goodies.

Charlotte von Sicard, Wessex Cancer Trust’s Community Fundraiser says, “We were delighted to have such a fantastic response to our first fashion show event. A huge thank you to our fantastic models, stall holders and supporters who really made the event possible.”
