A WOMAN has died after falling from a bridge onto the M27.
Emergency services rushed to the motorway near junction eight for Bursledon at about 7.40am today.
The eastbound carriageway of the road was shut while Hampshire Constabulary and South Central Ambulance Service worked and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
No-one else was injured and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The woman's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by police officers.
