TWO people arrested as part of a murder probe into the death of a three-week-old baby have been charged with causing or allowing his death.
Samuel Lloyd Davies, of Mayfield Road, Southampton, and Roxanne Laura Davis, of Lee Road, Gosport, were both arrested following the death of infant Stanley Davis in March last year.
The baby, from Gosport, was admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries on March 21, but died on March 28.
Davies, 23, and Davis, 29, were originally arrested on suspicion of murder following the baby's death.
But police say the pair will no longer face any action in relation to those allegations.
Instead they will have been charged under section five of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004 - causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.
The pair have been bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 8.
