A BISCUIT lover from Southampton found the “worrying” message “I can see you” carved into the back of crackers after opening the untouched packet she had just bought.

The mother of two tucked into a box of Sainsbury’s Biscuits for Cheese and was stunned when she noticed the unusual markings on them.

The words were individually carved on the four separate crackers and the message read: “I can see you.”

The woman, a 35 year old nurse who does not want to be named, was home by herself when she discovered the creepy message.

While she now sees the funny side of it her husband had to later reassure her it was just a ‘silly joke’ as she was ‘incredibly uncomfortable’ with it.

Sainsbury’s say the ‘I can see you’ message, which is the title of a 2008 psychological horror, appears to be an ‘unfunny prank’ which they are investigating with their supplier.

She said: “I was sat watching TV, having some crackers and biscuits when I noticed a mark on the back of one, it was the letter ‘I’.

“At first I thought nothing of it.

“But as I pulled more out of the packet I realised they had more words on them, reading ‘I can see you’.

“It’s funny now, but at the time I was sat at home by myself and it was really worrying and unnerving.”

A Sainsbury’s spokeswoman said: “This would appear to be a prank, albeit an unfunny one. We’re investigating with our supplier.”
