SO OVER 30,000 people used the temporary ice rink in Southampton pre-Christmas?
I wonder how many would have gone on it in total.
With figures like that, especially given other temporary rinks in Winchester and Portsmouth and the rink in Basingstoke on the brink of closure, it does come as a bit of a shock that Winchester City Council aren't interested in approving the plans for a permanent ice rink in the south.
It could have been a real hit and would have attracted people from all over the southern region.
Here's hoping the rink returns to Southampton this Christmas, as it was amazing to see so many people enjoying it.
