A HAMPSHIRE garden centre played host to all manner of weird and wonderful reptiles at a special half term event.
Tickets were sold out as 250 people attended the event at Garsons of Titchfield.
The activity saw children come face to face, and handle all manner of creatures.
Snakes, spirders and a giant tortoise were the stars for the day.
Those brave enough managed to handle a huge Burmese python, tarantulas and 12-year-old giant Sulcata tortoise called Harriet.
The animals are part of a large collection of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrate owned by Gloucester based Eco Animal Encounters.
The company holds reptile-related educational workshops, photography courses and parties.
On top of their work, they also provide knowledge and assistance for wildlife documentary makers.
Youngsters Eevie Reid and Ellie Hacket were two of those bold enough to handle the tarantula under supervision from Taylor Newton. The event was held at the pond and water garden department of Aquajardin.
Managing director of Aquajardin, Sam Baker, said:ββIt was amazing to watch how people reacted to the creatures. The children were particularly brave and happy to hold them, but many of the parents preferred to look from a distance.β
