EVEN snow couldn't stop Saints fans as they travelled in their numbers to Wigan this morning.

Saints face the League One side in their crunch FA Cup quarter final - with Wembley beckoning.

But the already difficult 225 mile journey has been made even more difficult this morning, by falling snow.

Dubbed the 'mini beast from the east', the snow has caused problems on the road - including a jack-knifed lorry on the M3 and a car crash on the M27.

But that hasn't stopped Saints fans jumping on the coach and making the long trip up to Wigan ahead of today's game.

It will be the first time Mark Hughes will take to dug-out as Saints manager, following the sacking of Mauricio Pellegrino.

Hughes will be without Steven Davis and Charlie Austin who are both injured.

A win for Saints would guarantee a place in the semi-finals, at Wembley.
