The Honeypot Children’s Charity has said a big ‘thank you’ to Edward Fort OBE of the Beaulieu Beaufort Foundation for his continued support over the last few years.
Edward has donated more than £11,000 to Honeypot in the last year, which is enough money to support 20 children for an entire year.
Honeypot offers respite breaks and on-going outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children aged between five and 12 years old, and has a centre in the New Forest. The charity gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.
Edward was presented with a certificate as a thank you for his continued support to Honeypot by Peter Suchet, director of fundraising and marketing.
Kate Browning, Honeypot’s Regional Fundraising Manager, said, “We really appreciate all the support that Mr Fort provides Honeypot.
"The money donated goes to enhancing the lives of our young carers and vulnerable children and it’s supporters such as Mr Fort that help Honeypot to continue to offer our much needed services. We receive no government funding, so rely totally on fundraising, corporate supporters and donations from generous supporters such as Mr Fort.”
