POLICE have arrested three people after an "immigration" swoop on a Southampton housing area.
At least four police vehicles, including a police van, descended on The Compass, in Chapel Road yesterday.
Officers say three people were found in the back of a removal van.
Two females have been detained by police, in what witnesses described as an "immigration" swoop.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 11.21am after three people were found in a lorry in The Compass, Southampton.
"Two females and one male have been detained."
One witness at the scene said they were "shocked" by the incident.
