SOUTHAMPTON is gearing up for one of the biggest weekends in the city's recent history - dubbed 'Super Sunday'.

Thousands of football fans will travel to Wembley tomorrow to watch Saints take on Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final clash.

Meanwhile, up to 40,000 people are expected to take to the city's streets to take part or watch the ABP Southampton Marathon.

To top things off, both events are expected to take place in basking hot sunshine.

The Met Office is predicting highs of 18C in Southampton during the marathon, while fans travelling up to Wembley will be greeted with highs of 22C in London.
