A WINCHESTER woman is making use of a unused garden marquee.
Caroline Tibbits has hired the large tent in her garden for a family event later this month.
But it will be standing empty for a couple of days before removal.
So Mrs Tibbits is staging a pop-up art exhibition to raise money for the appeal for the proposed Winchester Hospice.
The show will be on Monday April 30 between 10.30am-6pm at 94 Christchurch Road, Winchester, SO23 9TE. Refreshments will be available.
She said: "The marquee people don't want to dismantle it till the Tuesday. So I thought I must do something - I couldn't bear the idea of an empty tent doing nothing."
The exhibitors are local artists who will donate half the proceeds of any sales to the appeal.
The hospice is proposed for Burrell House next to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital on Romsey Road.
