Speaking about the weather on Saturday, the Met Office said: "There will be cloud breaking to leave a dry, bright and warm day, with long sunny spells, although cloudier in the west with showers for a time.

On Sunday to Tuesday, the Met Office added: "Dry and bright for most through the outlook period, with warm sunny spells but thunderstorms possible in the afternoon periods."

It could mean raincoats and waterproof ponchos for festival-goers heading to Southampton's Common People on Saturday and Sunday.

The popular music festival will feature a fun-packed line-up of family-friendly events and a stellar line of chart-topping acts and rising stars.

Lily Allen will headline tomorrow on the Common Stage along with Manchester legends James while iconic disco band and the "First Family of Soul” The Jacksons headline on Sunday.

Organiser, Rob da Bank, said: "Much like other festivals you can't bring your own food and drink in, but it's going to be a hot weekend so obviously you can bring sealed bottles of water in, which you may need if queuing."
