POLICE probing a rape in a Southampton alleway have made two arrests.
Officers have questioned two men in their 30s following the incident on Sunday, June 3.
It comes after a 28-year-old woman was raped in an alleyway off Howards Grove, near Shirley High Street.
Police say the incident happened around 1.30am.
Officers previously released CCTV images of a man seen cycling on Shirley High Street around the time of the incident.
Yesterday (June 14), officers arrested two men in their 30s, both from Southampton, on suspicion of rape.
They have since been released from police custody but remain under investigation.
