AN ARRAY of colours flooded the streets of Totton for its annual carnival celebration.
Hundreds lined the streets to watch the procession, with colourful parade of floats making their way through the town centre.
Celebrations continued at Eling Recreation Ground where the carnival fete took place.
Ann Proctor, 82, retired, from Totton, said: "It was lovely, really enjoyable. It's nice it turned out like that and even the weather was kind in the end. It's important to have the carnival in Totton, it brings the community together."
As previously reported, this year's carnival was in danger of being scrapped, with organisers citing a shortage of funding and volunteers.
But the event was saved in April after Totton College agreed to sponsor it for a further three years.
