REVELLERS and music lovers got in the spirit as they arrived at the 10th annual Boomtown festival.

Gorillaz are set to headline the weekend-long event, which is held at the Matterley Bowl near Winchester.

People started arriving at the venue on Wednesday, although the event did not officially begin until Thursday.

Speaking when Gorillaz were announced as a headliner, organisers said: “It’s unbelievably exciting to start collaborating for this one off show next summer and to delve into all the ways in which we can make the very most of the similarities between our musical styles and story based performance!”

Other artists performing at the festival include Die Antwoord, Limp Bizkit, and reggae star Jimmy Cliff.
