SENTENCING has been adjourned for a Southampton man who has admitted harassing a Test Valley woman.
Ian Clinton Watt, 35, of Boniface Crescent, Lordshill, pleaded guilty to the charge, which took place between April 30 and July 27.
Magistrates in Basingstoke heard that he tried to force his way into the woman’s home in Houghton, near Stockbridge, loitered outside, send her numerous emails and texts, made a number of unwanted phone calls and arranged for an unauthorised payment to the victim from the Department of Work and Pensions.
Watt was released on conditional bail not to contact the woman or visit an address in Houghton.
He was due to be sentenced on Wednesday but the hearing has now been adjourned to and will be sentenced at Basingstoke on September 11.
