Meet Blackpool's own Spidermen. Dave Hulme and Paul Hulley have been busy making sure all 10,000 of the Tower's lightbulbs are in working order for Friday's big Illuminations switch-on.
Chief rigger Dave and his apprentice Paul, nicknamed the 'Dynamic Duo' by Tower colleagues, have been abseiling up and down the 518 feet 9 inch landmark over the last few weeks making sure it looks top notch.
Dave said: "Paul has been the perfect apprentice and I have been showing him the ropes for the past few weeks."
Paul added: "I have enjoyed every minute abseiling down the Tower, re-lamping the light-bulbs and feel honoured to be part of the illuminations."
"Dave has been brilliant encouraging me and giving me confidence day by day. I could do this everyday - well not on a windy day".
The pair have clocked up 40 years of service between them at the tower.
