A HUNT has been launched for a suspected gunman after an attempted armed robbery in Southampton.
Police want to speak to the man pictured in these CCTV images following the incident, which happened at Bitterne Convenience Store on Athelstan Road, Southampton.
The incident happened on August 10 but police have only now released details.
A man entered the store and threatened a member of staff with what appeared to be a handgun.
He demanded money but left empty handed when staff fled the store, and no-one was injured in the incident.
Officers say they have been carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the man since the incident happened.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "Do you know him or recognise his clothing?
"Anyone with information should contact us on 101 quoting 44180302871.
"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and leave information anonymously."
