A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital after he was robbed and assaulted by balaclava-clad youngsters in Southampton.
A 19-year-old was taken to Southampton General Hospital with a head injury after he was robbed in Shirley on December 15.
Hampshire police said the man was chased through St James Park by several youths wearing balaclavas and dark clothing at about 4pm.
He was assaulted once he had reached Winchester Road.
The force said the victim’s rucksack was taken and later recovered in St James Park - with his phone charger and passport missing.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
In a statement the force said: "Did you see or hear anything at this time, or even record the incident on your mobile phone? You may have been driving past and caught it on your dash cam. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting 44180466407 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, call 999."
