IT'S the charming Hampshire country pub combining its famous carvery with an incredible drinks menu and luxurious guest rooms.

Located in the heart of the New Forest, just a few minutes from Lymington and the Solent, The Walhampton Arms has reopened following its Covid closure and a major refurbishment to introduce six further superb en suite bedrooms.

The 19th Century former dairy, once part of the Walhampton Estate, now boasts 11 fabulous letting rooms featuring walk in rainforest showers.

And visitors are certainly making the most of the fantastic food on offer with delicious carveries now available seven days a week.

Current restrictions mean the choice of meats or homemade nut roast with all the trimmings are served plated, but the full carvery will make a comeback when allowed. A selection of pub classics and daily specials are also on the menu.

Birra Moretti, Amstel and Otter Bright are the most popular draught beers on offer and an extensive list of wines has been specially selected by expert wine merchants at Tanners Wines.

Daily Echo:

Georgia and Gavin Hawkins have been running The Walhampton Arms for just over a year.

Georgia told the Daily Echo: "We've loved meeting people and hearing their stories, working busy shifts, providing excellent service and seeing customers leave happy!

"It was difficult to be at the pub during the lockdowns. We love the hustle and bustle of the day to day running of the pub and not to have people in the Walhampton Arms was very strange.

Daily Echo:

"Covid 19 has been tough on everyone, and the Walhampton provides a superb spot to relax, stay and dine. We have a great team and they have remained positive throughout the last 14 months."

There is a courtyard patio and paved area outside the front of the pub that catches the sun for most of the day and a function room which can host intimate dinner parties or buffets for up to 50.
