AMBULANCE staff were busy last night answering 114 calls of which 82 were emergencies.

They included taking one person to Southampton General Hospital following a one-vehicle accident at the Rushington roundabout in Totton.

Paramedics and police officers were called to the incident on the A 35 after the car ended up facing the wrong way around on the road last night (Fri) at around 8.15pm.

Shortly after midnight paramedics were called to the westbound carriageway of the M27 at Rownhams following a two-vehicle crash. One person was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

Just over an hour at 1.44am later they were called to Aldermoor Road, Southampton, after a car hit a pole and one person had to be taken to Southampton General Hospital.

And just after 3am this morning ambulance staff were called to Otterbourne Road near Winchester after a car came off the road. They took one person to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
