A TEENAGER has been acquitted of stealing mobile phones and digital cameras from college friends celebrating the end of exams.
Lucan Mills, 18, of Whitebeam Close, Colden Common, was cleared by a jury after maintaining his friends stole the items and "palmed" them off on him.
The prosecution at Winchester Crown Court claimed Mr Mills, now a university student in Southampton, stole the items at a party in Brambridge.
Police searched his home and discovered two digital cameras and two mobile phones, which belonged to people at the party.
Mr Mills said that a pal had given him two cameras, which he assumed were his, and asked if he could transfer the photographs for him as his computer was broken.
