A SOUTHAMPTON woman was pulled from her burning flat by a neighbour after she fell asleep leaving a chip pan on last night.
The woman, thought to be in her late 50s, was rescued from her ground floor flat in Knighton Road, Woolston, after a neighbour spotted smoke coming from the building at around 8.30pm.
When firefighters from St Mary's Fire Station arrived at the scene the woman had already been pulled out of the building.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
