A CAR fire is causing delays on the A31 as emergency crews tackle the flames.
Firefighters from Dorset and Hampshire rushed to the A31 westbound towards Ringwood near Picket Post following reports of a car on fire.
Crews from Ringwood and Ferndown were on the scene, with a Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirming the Ferndown crew was called at 1.35pm this afternoon (Saturday, November 12).

The spokesperson added that the car, which video footage shows to be completely ablaze, was towing a caravan but that this was detached and undamaged.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was extinguished shortly after 2pm and that they left the scene at around 2.30pm.
No injuries or cause were reported and traffic is described as slow.
