IT'S a hair-raising day out not for the faint-hearted.
Blackgang Chine, the UK’s oldest theme park, has launched its newest attraction, Extinction, celebrating their 180th year.
Visitors to the Isle of Wight now have the chance to experience the pendulum swing reaching heights of 18 meters over the cliff-top.
An immersive experience that takes visitors to the edge, Extinction is the first-of-its-kind ride in this unparalleled location.
The ride throws its passengers on full 360-degree vertical rotations, creating the sensation that they’re about to be catapulted off Blackgang’s cliffs and into the sea.
Riders will have the chance to take in the breath-taking views across the Channel, which they can enjoy in the brief moments between screaming. Although that view may be upside down!
"This is not just any ride - it's a testament to Blackgang Chine's ability to innovate and provide visitors with unforgettable experiences," said Dominic Wray, Parks Director.
"Our rich and long heritage is a result of our commitment to pushing boundaries and staying ahead of the curve."
